These two cases have been argued together as they present the same question of law. "While this opinion will consider the facts in the Bronx Gas and Electric Company case, the decision is applicable to both cases.
Petitioner, Bronx Gas and Electric Company, supplies both electric and gas service to consumers in the borough of the Bronx in the city of New York. This proceeding relates solely to the electric rates of that company.
