This is an action brought under the Workmen’s Compensation Law (Act 20 of 1914, and its several amendments) to obtain compensation for the widow and minor children of a policeman who was killed while in the discharge of his duty.

Plaintiff’s demands were rejected by the district court, and they appealed to the Court of Appeal of the Second Circuit. The judges of that court, availing themselves of the provisions of section 25 of article 7 of the Con stitution, have certified the question of law involved, and asked for instructions.
