Plaintiff in this matter, First Medical Health Plan, Inc. (“First Medical” or “Plaintiff’), commenced this action to recover monies which it contends are owed to it by defendant CaremarkPCS Caribbean, Inc. (“Caremark or Defendant”) for an alleged breach of contract committed by Caremark. Plaintiff properly brings its claim in federal court pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1332(a)(2) as there is complete diversity among the parties and the requested recovery meets the amount in controversy requirement.
