This ease is before the Court on appeal by the petitioner, William Adkins, of the Circuit Court of Logan County’s August 9, 2011, order denying the petitioner’s request for habeas corpus relief. The petitioner is currently serving a sentence on a first degree murder conviction at the McDowell County Correctional Center. In this appeal, the petitioner alleges that both his trial counsel and his appellate counsel were ineffective and that he is entitled to habeas corpus relief.
