OPINION

KING, Circuit Judge:

Plaintiff Scott H. Goldstein appeals the district court’s entry of summary judgment in favor of the Chestnut Ridge Volunteer Fire Company (“Chestnut Ridge” or “the company”) and the individual members of its Executive Committee, the defendants below. Mr. Goldstein alleges that he was suspended and later terminated from Chestnut Ridge based on the substance of his speech, in violation of the First Amendment.
