PETERSON, Justice.

Defendant was found guilty by a district court jury of one count of kidnapping, Minn. Stat. § 609.25, subd. 1(2) (1978), two counts of criminal sexual conduct in the first degree, Minn. Stat. § 609.342(c), (d) (1978), and one count of assault with a dangerous weapon, Minn. Stat. § 609.225, subd. 2 (1978). The trial court sentenced defendant on one of the two counts of criminal sexual conduct in the first degree to a prison term of 1 year and 1 day to 20 years.
