The plaintiff obtained a verdict for injuries resulting from a slip and fall on premises controlled by the defendant, and the defendant appealed from the ensuing judgment and the denial of its motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict or for a new trial. 1. The defendant’s motion for a directed verdict was waived, and its motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict properly denied, because of the defendant’s failure to renew its motion for a directed verdict at the close of its own case.
