delivered the opinion of the court.

The plaintiff, J. M. Cooper, brought suit against defendants for commission alleged to have been earned by him as a real estate broker for procuring a prospective purchaser of an apartment building owned by defendants and located at 4031 North Kenmore avenue in Chicago.

After issue had been joined by the filing of defendants’ answers and their demand for trial by jury, plaintiff presented his motion and affidavit for summary judgment wherein he alleged in substance that he was a licensed real estate broker, that the defendants…
