BROWN, Associate Justice.

—The Circuit Court of the United States for the Eastern District of Texas, sitting at Galveston, placed the property of the Houston & Texas Central Railroad Company in the hands of Charles Dillingham, as receiver, who took possession of and operated it under the orders of that court. On the 4th day of May, 1888, the said court foreclosed mortgages upon said road, and ordered the same to be sold. On the 8th day of September, 1888, the sale was made, F. P. Olcott being the purchaser. The sale was confirmed by the court December 4, 1888, and the master was ordered to…
