The State of Texas sued Life Partners, Inc. in Travis County for violations of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices-Consumer Protection Act. In three issues, the State argues that the trial court erred by: (1) transferring venue from Travis County to McLennan County; (2) granting Life Partners’s second motion for summary judgment; and (3) prohibiting a non-party deposition.
