OPINION AND ORDER

The plaintiff, Catherine Ortiz (“Ortiz”), brings this action against her former employer, The Brookstone Company, Inc. (“Brookstone”) and her former supervisor, Steve Black (“Black”). The plaintiff alleg es that the defendants discriminated against her on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, and gender in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e et seq. (“Title VII”) and the New York Human Rights Law, N.Y. Exec. Law § 296, and on the basis of race, color and ethnicity in violation of 42 U.S.C. § 1981. The plaintiff also…
