This proceeding is brought by the state commissioner of excise to revoke and cancel a liquor tax certificate issued by the treasurer of Wayne county to the respondent, Elizabeth M. Dunbar, authorizing her to traffic in liquors upon the premises known as “No. 14 East Union Street,” in the village of Newark, Wayne county, N. Y. In her application Mrs. Dunbar, the respondent, stated that there were three dwelling houses, occupied exclusively as such, the nearest entrance of which was within 200 feet, measured in a straight line, from the premises where the traffic in liquors was intended to be…
