Plaintiff, a United Parcel Service (UPS) employee, sued Chicago and Northwestern Transportation Corp. (C & NW). He alleged that he had sustained personal injuries caused by a hole in the floor of a truck trailer owned by C & NW. The action was removed to this court from the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia. After removal, plaintiff amended his complaint to join Consolidated Rail Corporation (Conrail) as a defendant.
