In this negligence action, the plaintiffs, Tonisha Spears and Medina Spears,1 appeal from the judgment of the trial court granting summary judgment in favor of the defendants, the city of Bridgeport and *671the Bridgeport fire department,2 on the ground of governmental immunity.
