Plaintiff Richard Smith brought action against several defendants, including Texaco, Inc., and Texaco Refining & Marketing, Inc. (collectively Texaco), General Gas & Oil Company (General Gas), Mine Safety Appliance Company (Mine Safety), Lamb Airfoil Company, Inc. (Lamb Airfoil), and Bullard Abrasive Products, Inc. (Bullard), for injuries he sustained in an explosion while working on an underground gasoline storage tank.
