This action is brought by five state investment funds (the “Ohio Funds”) against certain credit rating agencies (the “Rating Agencies”) for losses allegedly arising from the Ohio Funds’ purchase of residential and commercial mortgage-backed securities. The complaint alleges that the high credit ratings assigned by the Rating Agencies to the securities were false, negligently assigned, and based on flawed methodologies.
