Members of the plaintiff class claim they were wrongfully denied retirement benefits in violation of the Employee Retirement Security Act of 1974 (ERISA), 29 U.S.C. §§ 1001 et seq. The defendants are the plaintiffs’ former employer, Michigan Bell Telephone Company (Michigan Bell), and Dan Grady, Michigan Bell’s vice president of personnel.
