This action was commenced by plaintiff Elizabeth Dole, Secretary of Labor (“the Secretary”), pursuant to § 402(b) of the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act, 29 U.S.C. § 482(b) (“the Act”). Plaintiff seeks to set aside and require the rerunning of the October 1987 election for the office of Secretary-Treasurer/Business Manager (“Business Manager”) of defendant Local 512, International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Chauffeurs, Warehousemen and Helpers of America, AFL-CIO (“Local 512” or “the Union”).
