WINTERSHEIMER, Justice.

This appeal is from a judgment based on a jury verdict which convicted Binion of first-degree rape and first-degree robbery. He was sentenced to 40 years in prison.

The principal issues are whether Bin-ion was unfairly denied funds for a mental health expert and whether the mental health expert provided by the trial court was inappropriate to meet due process requirements.
