BARNES, Vice Chief Justice:

This action was filed in an attempt to recover damages suffered by Doris Rahill on April 13, 1975. The injuries resulted from a pedestrian-automobile collision involving Mrs. Rahill and Harold Hood.

The operative facts require some detail. Mrs. Rahill has had a history of mental illness in the form of anxiety, fear, paranoia and depression. She had received treatment for these symptoms for several years. In fact, some of the treatment had occurred in Baptist Hospital.
