This appeal arises from a judgment of the district court awarding partial injunctive relief, and $1,000 damages each, to plaintiffs Ronald Brule and Julio Costa for an alleged violation of their first amendment rights by their superiors at the Rhode Island Adult Correctional Institution (ACI). Defendants Bradford E. Southworth, former director of the Department of Corrections, and William E.
