The petitioners are copartners engaged in the manufacture of women’s apparel in the city of New York for over sixty years. They claim that the partnership was actually and legally dissolved in January, 1953, and notice sent to the respondent union.

The subject of the controversy is the right to arbitration of disputes between the parties under two collective bargaining agreements, viz., (1) an industry-wide agreement, and (2) a supplementary agreement dated January 2, 1952.
