Givens v. State
Court of Appeals of Arkansas
1Opinion of the Court
JOSEPHINE LINKER Hart, Judge.
Appellant, Jimmy Givens, J pleaded guilty to the crime of possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to three years’ probation. In accordance with Rule 24.3(b) of the Arkansas Rules of Criminal Procedure, Givens reserved his right to appeal from the trial court’s denial of his motion to suppress, and he now argues on appeal that a police officer’s search of his person exceeded the permissible scope of a search for weapons. We affirm the court’s denial of his motion to suppress.
