laOn October 3, 2007, Mr. Mednick filed a petition for damages resulting from an automobile accident against State Farm Insurance Company, his uninsured/under-insured motorist insurance carrier. Med-nick alleges that on October 11, 2005, he was traveling on 1-10, when he was rear-ended by a vehicle operated by Thomas Klasson while Mr. Klasson was engaged in the course and scope on his employment with the United States Department of Agriculture.
