The matter comes before the court on the motion of California Chieftain (Chief tain), a secured creditor, for the abandonment of property of the estate.

BACKGROUND

The debtor, Air Vermont, Inc., (Air Vermont) commenced business in September 1981 as a commuter airline operating from the International Airport at South Burlington, Vermont, to various points primarily in the Northeast.
