LESTER, Chief Justice.
Plaintiffs sued the defendants on a note in the amount of $700, alleging that it was executed by the defendants as a part of the purchase price of 82-J4 acres of land conveyed by plaintiffs to the defendants. Plaintiffs further alleged that there was due on said note the sum of $700, plus interest and attorney’s fees, and prayed for foreclosure of their lien.
The defendants filed a plea to the jurisdiction of the court, alleging that the court did not have jurisdiction of the cause in that the amount in controversy was below the jurisdiction of the District Court, to-wit,…
