Defendant appeals from an order entered July 21, 1981, denying his motions to set aside a default judgment of divorce and to decline jurisdiction on matters involving custody of his two minor children.

The essential facts are as follows. The parties were married on April 24, 1971, in California. While residing there they had two children, Dennis and Craig.
