This action was brought to recover of the defendant Jonas Nathan for services rendered to him by the plaintiff as an attorney at law in the commencement of an action for Nathan against the Brooklyn Heights Railroad Company, and to enforce plaintiff’s lien against the railroad company.
On the 19th day of February, 1902, the defendant Nathan received personal injuries on the defendant’s railroad while a passenger in one of its cars, and thereupon he entered into a written agreement with the plaintiff to prosecute an action therefor, for which he agreed to pay the plaintiff fifty per cent of…
