The defendant appeals from the judgment of conviction rendered by the trial court after accepting the defendant’s plea of nolo contendere to the charges of assault in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-59 (a) (3) and risk of injury to a child in violation of General Statutes § 53-21.
