COX, Judge:

The case of this accused was referred to trial by general court-martial for attempted carnal knowledge, sodomy, and indecent acts, in violation of Articles 80, 125, and *141134, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. §§ 880, 925, and 934, respectively. When trial commenced on April 1,1985, the defense moved to dismiss the charges for lack of speedy trial under R.C.M. 707, Manual for Courts-Martial, United States, 1984.
