MEMORANDUM OPINION
BLACKWELL N. SHELLEY, Bankruptcy Judge.
This matter came before the Court upon the complaint of Robert A. Canfield, the trustee in bankruptcy (“trustee”) for Ruth G. Jones, debtor, seeking recovery of $3,038.07 from Ansel P. Simpson, Sr. (“Simpson”) as an avoidable preference pursuant to 11 U.S.C. § 547(b).
