MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER

ALESIA, District Judge.

Before the court is plaintiff Larry Gaspar’s (“Gaspar”) motion to certify a class action pursuant to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 23 and for leave to issue notice of the class action to the class members. For the reasons that follow, the court grants Gaspar’s motion.

I. BACKGROUND

Gaspar worked for Linvatee Corporation (“Linvatee”), a subsidiary of Bristol-Myers Squibb Company (“Bristol-Myers”), as a machinist at its Chicago, Illinois, work site from December 1979 until December 31, 1993, when the facility closed. At the same time that…
