In an action to recover damages for medical malpractice, the *1082defendants James D. Sullivan III and North Shore Surgical Oncology Associates, EC., appeal, as limited by their brief, from so much of an order of the Supreme Court, Nassau County (Mahon, J.), dated October 15, 2010, as granted that branch of the plaintiffs’ cross motion which was for summary judgment on the issue of liability on the cause of action asserted by the plaintiff Joseph F. Magel alleging malpractice based on lack of informed consent.
