This is an appeal from a judgment of the Appellate Court for the First District affirming a judgment of the circuit court of Cook county for the sum of $3500 in favor of the appellee, for a personal injury alleged to have been sustained by him by reason of the negligence of the appellant. The declaration alleged, in substance, that while the plaintiff was riding on a wagon on Blue Island avenue, in the city of Chicago, and while he was exercising due care and diligence for his own safety, the defendant, by its servants, carelessly and negligently drove a train of street cars with great force…
