BALDOCK, Circuit Judge.

Defendant-appellant Walter P. Mann III, appearing pro se and assisted by appointed standby counsel, was convicted by a jury on four mail fraud counts in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1341, one count of wire fraud under 18 U.S.C. § 1343, and three counts of willful failure to file income tax returns in violation of 26 I.R.C. § 7203. Mann challenges these convictions on the grounds that 1) the evidence was insufficient to support the convictions, 2) the trial court erred by failing to instruct the jury regarding Mann’s good-faith defense to the willful failure to file charge,…
