The provision of the will of Ann Welsh, deceased, that is involved in this chancery suit, is in substance as follows:

“I do bequeath to my beloved daughter, Bridget Fitzgerald, (confirmed as Libby Fitzgerald,) and now the wife of John Shaffer, the following property: The house and lot known as 609 Fulton street, Chicago, etc., also the house and lot known as 229 Johnson street, etc., in trust for her sole use and benefit, and of her children, and there children thereafter. But in the event that my daughter, Bridget Shaffer, should die and leave no children…
