By means of a writ of prohibition the petitioner seeks to prevent the Superior Court of Merced County from trying him for the alleged crime of manslaughter for which he was indicted. The cause grew out of an automo bile casualty in which three persons were killed. The defendant named in the indictment was charged, under section 192 of the Penal Code, in three counts, with causing the deaths of said persons by gross negligence in operating his truck and trailer without due caution and circumspection.
