GREGORY, Circuit Judge:

The Appellant, Jesus Martinez-Varela (“Varela”), a/k/a Cruz Echeverria-Mendez, pled guilty to illegal reentry into the United States after deportation following an aggravated felony, in violation of 8 U.S.C. § 1326(a) and (b)(2). United States Sentencing Guideline (“U.S.S.G.”) § 2L.1.2(b)(l) provides that the base offense level for a person convicted of illegal reentry into the United States should be increased by twelve levels if the defendant was…
