MEMORANDUM OF DECISION

ROSS M. PYLE, Bankruptcy Judge.

All of the above cases involve the Trustee’s objections to the Debtors’ claims of exemptions which raise one or both of the following common questions. The first is whether, if one spouse claims a homestead exemption pursuant to Cal.Civ.Code §§ 1237 et seq. (hereinafter CC §§ 1237 et seq.) or a dwelling house exemption pursuant to Cal. Civ.Code Proc. § 690.31 (hereinafter CCP § 690.31), can the other spouse then claim, in addition, the exemptions of 11 U.S.C. § 522(d), especially subsections (1) and (5) thereof.
