The defendant was convicted by a jury of the crime of robbery in the first degree as a second offender, for which he received a severe sentence. The defense was an alibi. The identification by the victim of the robbery was positive. It is argued, however, that the complainant was not able to minutely describe a number of unimportant details such as the apparel of the robber and his manner of walking, which details were enlarged upon on cross-examination in an attempt to discredit the evidence of the witness on the question of identification.
