In June, 1925, Julian Quick and Dr. Vivien S. W. Worden, the above-named claimants, were being treated in the Trudeau Sanatorium at .Saranac, N. Y., for tuberculosis. Julian Quick was a young man of thirty years of age, having a wife and one child, and employed by the Johnson Shoe Company at Johnson City, N. Y. He was earning about $6,000 a year. Dr. Worden was about the same age as Quick and had had quite a varied experience in his profession. His father for many years had been at Yokohama, Japan.
