The appellant is engaged in operating a street railway system in the city of Chicago. On June 2, 1899, appellee, with her husband, was a passenger upon one of its cars. She sustained a personal injury, for which this suit is brought, while endeavoring to alight from the car On that day at the corner of LaSalle and Monroe streets. She brought suit to the September term, 1899, of the superior court of Cook county.
