The defendant, Thomas S. Pomykala, was charged with two counts of reckless homicide and one count of driving while his license was revoked. He pled guilty to the offense of driving while his licence was revoked. After a jury trial, the defendant was convicted of both counts of reckless homicide. The trial court vacated one count of reckless homicide and sentenced the defendant to a term of 14 years’ imprisonment on the remaining count.
