In the second amended complaint in this case, which will be referred to as the complaint, there are two causes of action, separately stated. In one, the plaintiff seeks to quiet title to an undivided one-half of certain real property in the town of Kirkland, in King county. In the other, she seeks an accounting for the rents, issues, and profits of the property. The defendant, in his answer, denied the right of plaintiff to recover upon either cause of action, and affirmatively pleaded the statute of limitations and laches.
