Anton J. Ridl, Sadako Ridl, Eugene K. Ridl, Clarence R. Ridl, June Ridl, Grace I. Wetzel, Raymond A. Ridl, and Regina A Ridl (collectively referred to as Ridl)1 appealed a district court judgment upholding a 1973 oil and gas lease held by EP Operating Limited Partnership (EP)2 and dissolving a June 15,1995, satisfaction of oil and gas lease recorded by Ridl in the office of the Stark County Register of Deeds.
