In an action, inter alia, to recover damages for wrongful death, the defendants appeal from so much of an order of the Supreme *806Court, Westchester County (Tolbert, J.), entered February 16, 2012, as denied that branch of their motion which was for summary judgment dismissing the second cause of action to recover damages for conscious pain and suffering.

Ordered that the order is reversed insofar as appealed from, on the law, with costs, and that branch of the defendants’ motion which was for summary judgment dismissing the second cause of action is granted.
