This is an appeal of a summary judgment order dismissing an employee’s common-law debt claim for unpaid wages. Sa-leh W. Igal sued Brightstar Information Technology Group, Inc. and BRBA, Inc. alleging that they owed him for unpaid wages due under a written employment contract. Prior to filing the underlying action, Igal presented an administrative “Payday Law” claim to the Texas Workforce Commission (the Commission) regarding the same wages which are at issue in this appeal.
