Appellant David Dean initiated this medical negligence action against respondent Group Health Cooperative of Puget Sound (Group Health), alleging that the negligence of the physicians employed by Group Health resulted in failure to detect a brain tumor affecting appellant. Appellant claims that the negligent delay in detecting the tumor, coupled with negligence in the treatment of appellant by Group Health after the presence of the tumor had been detected by a non-Group Health physician, resulted in severe injuries to appellant.
