The appellant, R.S. McCullough, is an attorney at law, licensed by and practicing in the State of Arkansas. The appellee, Loretta Johnson, is a court reporter for the Fifth Division Circuit Court in Pulaski County, Arkansas. Johnson sued the appellant for the cost of a transcript of the testimony in a criminal trial that McCullough had ordered for use in an appeal. This appeal arises from judgment of the Pulaski County Circuit Court against McCullough individually which awarded Johnson $1,137.70 plus interest for the costs of preparing the transcript.
