The respondents, the maternal grandparents of the boy, have appealed from an order and judgment granting custody of the child to petitioners, the paternal grandparents.
The boy is now nearly twelve years old. His parents became estranged and separated when the child was very small. For a period he dwelt first with his maternal grandparents and then with his paternal grandparents until his father died in September, 1938, when the child was a little past four.
